You may experience mild burning, tingling, or heat sensation similar to sunburn effects. Right
after the procedure, the treatment area is covered with soothing lotion which helps to minimize
discomfort.

After photodynamic therapy the degree of skin redness and discomfort may vary. The patient's
skin will feel sunburned and there may be peeling and redness. A greater reaction to treatment
will usually indicate more dramatic results. You will have to stay away from direct sunlight
during the first 48 hours after treatment.
